Maggie Maceiras and Georgette Hoyo are childhood friends, moms and best friends turned
entrepreneurs. We have both been blessed in life and are now are on a mission
to give back to the community. Both of us were teachers in the Miami-Dade County Public
School System but once we had children decided to start our own businesses in order
to stay home with our kids. Maggie has an online invitation business, Everything but the
Stamp; and then together with Georgette, Soy Delicious Moisturizing Candles; a delicious soy
candle business came along.
We started out with small "trunk shows" from house to house; just 5 or 6 vendors and
invited our friends and families to shop before the holidays or special occasions. Eventually
our client list grew too large to have events at our homes
and we decided to host events where 35 vendors could come together under one roof for a
unique shopping experience. From the beginning we have teamed up with non-profit
organizations such as The League Against Cancer, Lauren's Light and Kids Hope United in
order to raise awareness and simply "pay it forward."
